The Nameless Horror

Art done for War Without Reason, a local death metal band. It will be used for t-shirts then an album cover after they record.

This was loosely based on H.P. Lovecraft's Dunwich Horror, although the angel has nothing to do with that short story. The rest of the album's artwork will also be based on his works.

Not quite happy with this at the moment. Using so few colors is usually safe for me, but maybe I should have used some more colors for the flesh, and done more with the green light source.

-Edit- I made select highlights brighter and certain shading darker, and this has made a big enough difference so that I'm happy enough with it. I thought about adding more colors in areas, like other fleshtones, but the t-shirts are going to be cheaper if I use fewer colors. I've also decided to leave this as a t-shirt design.
